The University will take action against anyone who obtains, or attempts to obtain, a transcript or statement for another person without that person's knowledge and authorisation.
University of Otago Academic Transcripts and Statements normally take two working days to produce once order and payment has been received.
International students who are currently studying at the University of Otago and who require a statement for Immigration New Zealand for the purpose of renewing their student visa, should contact the International Division.
Please note that there will be no refunds issued when a customer chooses to cancel their order.
Transcript details and costs
A transcript is a copy of your full academic record. It shows enrolment information and recorded results for every paper or course component you have been enrolled for.
If you wish to have second semester exams results included on your transcript(s), please use the option on this form to request your order is held until final results are released. Second semester exam results are expected to be confirmed on Monday, 28 November.
- $20 for the first copy of a transcript.
- $10 for each additional copy ordered at the same time.
- Each additional destination and/or delivery method is billed as a separate request.
A statement is an official letter from the University confirming details of your enrolment or qualifications.
To request one of the following statements email firstname.lastname@example.org from your student webmail noting which statement you require.
- Current enrolment status
- Completed qualifications
- Finalist status
Please include in the email the name and address you would like your statement sent to, or, if you will be collecting your statement, advise a mobile number and we will text you when it is available for collection from the University Information Centre.
Please note, at this time of the year, there will be delays in the processing of Academic Transcripts, and Official Statements while results are confirmed.
If you were enrolled in second semester 2016 and are not a finalist, your transcript request will be processed from Monday 5 December.
Students enrolled in second semester 2016 and listed as finalists will have transcript requests processed from Monday 12 December.
Finalist Statements and Statements of Completed Qualifications will be unable to be processed until Monday 12 December.
This ensures that students are receiving academic records that accurately reflect their most recent enrolment information.
